My name is Agata. I graduated from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland in June 2009. Currently I'm back at Gray's as an artist in residence.
I call myself 'incomplete printmaker' because I'm never fully satisfied with what I learn and constantly try to broaden my knowledge of printmaking.
This is the gallery of my unique prints or small editions, sketches and collages as well as screenprinted textiles.
Printmaking gives me the opportunity to make the best use of my skills and manifest my visual and emotional experiences. My recent works are mostly inspired by the place I was born in and brought up - Poland. It is not only the landscape and culture but also the atmosphere and memories of familiar places that boost my imagination and give me lots of ideas for new work...
Apart from fine art printmaking, I also screenprint on textiles. My screenprints range from commercial designs such as logos to unique art works on t-shirts and bags. From Monday to Wednesday I work in a workshop at Unit 1, Cotton Street , AB11 5EE in Aberdeen.
